ALEX R.N. MACAUSLAND

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr. MacAusland, a founder of Western Energy Services, has over 31 years of management and operational experience in the oilfield services industry in Western Canada and the United States. Mr. MacAusland was President and Chief Operating Officer of Western from December 8, 2009 to December 1, 2013 and has served as President and CEO of Horizon Drilling Inc. since February 2008. Previously, Mr. MacAusland was Senior Vice President of IROC Energy Services Corp., overseeing Eagle Well Servicing, Mission Drilling and Aero Rentals. Prior to that, he was at Precision Drilling Corporation for 15 years in various capacities, including Rig Manager and Contract Sales, followed by General Manager and then Vice President Operations, responsible for Precision’s well-servicing rig fleet, snubbing, camp and catering divisions.

JEFFREY K. BOWERS, CPA, CA

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mr. Bowers, a founder of Western, is a Chartered Accountant with over 27 years of financial experience in the oilfield services industry, both domestically and internationally. Prior to being appointed Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Western in 2009, Mr. Bowers held the position of Vice President of Finance and CFO with Horizon Drilling Inc., a private drilling contractor. Previously, Mr. Bowers was the Chief Financial Officer at FracSource Inc. prior to its divestiture in 2008. Prior to that he was employed at Precision Drilling Corporation, initially as Corporate Controller with Computalog Ltd., followed by Group Controller Canada for Precision Energy Services. Prior to Precision Drilling Corporation, Mr. Bowers worked for Nowsco Well Service Ltd. in various capacities, including Controller of Canadian Operations and Controller of Nowsco’s Asia Pacific Operations based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

PETER J. BALKWILL, CPA, CA

VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE

Mr. Balkwill is a Chartered Accountant with 30 years of experience in international and domestic oilfield services. Immediately prior to joining Western Energy Services, Mr. Balkwill held the position of Chief Financial Officer at an internationally focused energy services company and has previously held senior financial positions with Saxon Energy Services, Precision Drilling and Schlumberger.

R. Ross Clancy

Vice President, Production Services

Mr. R. Ross Clancy is the Vice President, Production Services for Eagle Well Servicing. Prior to this role, he has held various marketing and operational management roles with Eagle Well Servicing and Aero Rentals. Over the past 10 years with Western those roles included; Sales Manager, Aero; VP Marketing,  Production Services (Eagle and Aero); VP, Well Servicing (Eagle); VP, Rentals (Aero); and VP, US Well Servicing (Western Oilfield Services). Mr. R. Ross Clancy has over 20 years of domestic and international experience in the drilling rig, directional drilling, pressure control rental, surface rental, and well servicing industries. Mr R. Ross Clancy earned his undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University and continued post graduate studies at St. Mary’s University. Before becoming a part of Western, he worked in finance and business development roles for Weatherford, Ensign Drilling and Precision Drilling, Precision Well Servicing, Precision Rentals and LRG Camps and Catering.

APRIL WILLIAMS

VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES

Ms. Williams is the Vice President, Human Resources bringing 20 years of experience within the drilling services industry. Ms. Williams is a results-oriented leader with achievements in the development and execution of Human Resources strategies in both the North American and International markets. Areas of focus have included; employee relations and engagement, human capital planning, compensation and benefits, training and development, immigration, and project management. Prior to joining Western, Ms. Williams held various leadership roles, primarily those during her 17-year tenure with Trinidad Drilling Ltd., where she held the role of Director, Human Resources, responsible for the oversight of the HR function globally.
